Bearing witness – The Save Movement

Kiel Animal Save and Lübeck Animal Save hold monthly vigils in Kellinghusen at the entrance of the slaughterhouse to let the pigs know, that they are not alone, that we see them, hear them, that they are someone not something. I made these pictures just minutes before they were taken to slaughter, after a short life of pain and fear.
